Why we opened Lumi

We wanted a practice where people feel comfortable walking in. You shouldn't feel rushed in the chair, and you shouldn't have to guess what something will cost.

Lumi is independently owned, and every dentist and oral health therapist here is AHPRA registered. If it has been years since your last check-up, that's fine. We'll have a look, tell you what we see and give you a written quote before anything is done.

Your clinician may be a dentist or an oral health therapist (OHT). Our OHTs are university-trained and AHPRA registered, and look after check-ups, X-rays, cleans, gum care and children's teeth. They work alongside our dentists from the same plan, and if you need a filling, crown or other treatment, we book you in with a dentist.

You will see a dentist or an oral health therapist. Your first visit includes digital X-rays, a 3D scan where it helps, and time to talk about your goals.

If you're nervous

Tell us. We can go slowly, take breaks, or talk about IV sedation for bigger treatment. Children are welcome from their first tooth.

Fees

We would rather you have a rough idea of cost before you come in than be surprised on the day. These are starting fees for some common treatments.

Every mouth is different, so your fee depends on what your teeth need. We go through it with you in person and give you a written quote to take home before anything starts.

Fees are a guide only and may change. Health fund rebates depend on your fund and level of cover.

nib First Choice provider

nib members pay no gap on check-ups and cleans. Periodontal cleans are not included.

Our nib rates also apply to GU Health, Suncorp, AAMI, Apia, Qantas Assure, ING, Priceline, Real Insurance and Australian Seniors, which are underwritten by nib.
